Friday Connections - A Scandinavian Chair?

This chair was a bargain, $5 at a garage sale a while back. Dad has sanded and lacquered it and it looks great.  For the last year it has sat outside on my balcony. I had already taken the hideous yellow cover off (underneath is a not much better green pleather).  The cushions got rained on and were probably already quite old, so ill buy some new ones. 

The chair itself is in great condition and is going to be a great addition to my new sewing room.

Kokka Red Horses

I just love this fabric by Kokka. I have set some aside from the shop to cover my chair. Before leaving the chair on the balcony I did cut out the fabric. and as usual that's as far as i got before i started on something else. So next week, after we have moved, Ill tackle this as my first project.

Friday Connections - Mama & Papa

Each week on a Friday, I'm going to link a product I love (either something I own, something in the store or a product I really want to buy) with whats happening/happened in my life.

Millie, who just turned one, is constantly saying "mama mama dad dad dad dad". Just slightly obsessed with our wedding picture on the side table and pointing and saying "mama. dad" over and over. I totally love it, except Dad Dad Dad seems to be more popular.

This reminds me of these cute little Mama and Papa pegs I bought years ago on a trip to Japan. I don't use them for anything, just to sit and look cute on my desk.  I noticed them as the Mama peg reminds me of my cousin Becky. Papa looks a bit to square for his lady I think.
